VIN# 12173 is one of the prototype right-hand drive DeLoreans, developed as part of the DeLorean Motor Company’s right-hand drive production programme. After the collapse of the company, the car was sold at auction by the receiver in January 1983. Barely used throughout the mid 1980s, the car was then privately housed at the Midland Motor Museum in Bridgnorth, Shropshire from 1987 to 2002. It was here in 1992 that the car caught the eye of young car enthusiast Phil Peters. 15 years later in October 2007, Phil became the proud owner of VIN# 12173. To date the car has covered less than 2,000 kilometres from new.
