Alternator equivalence
#1
Just a theoretical question (maybe...)

Does anybody know if the alternator is interchangeable with the Volvo/ Renault units from the equivalent PRV engines? I don't need one at present, but I'm thinking that if, for example I happened to know of a decent used one going spare, would it be worth me having it, even if it were as a standby unit just in case? Or are they compeletly different in terms of fit, terminal connections, output etc etc.

Thanks all,

(salesman's hat on) We do a direct replacement for £159 which is normally a £360 unit, made by Valeo and 110A capable and a direct install for anyone replacing a ducellier (same plug). Easy to adapt to a Motorola type.
