Since purchasing this it has been a challenging project. I have had the roof/door linings recovered. Started to replace all the seals for the doors, the ones near the torsion bar are going to be a bit testy. Fixed the windscreen washer and horn. Replaced the headlight switch and the window switches. Repaired the seat adjuster, fitted new seat belts and rear speakers. Replaced the exhaust pipe that is usually where the cat converter is located.
What have you all done about replacing the Cibie headlights in your Deloreans, I realise they are not made any more and I have one cracked High/low beam and one cracked low beam lense.
I have not even started on the engine, hopefully just a clean up and a service will do as it seems to run quite well. maybe new belts, oil, plugs. Seems like he list just goes on and on.
The next purchase is a 2 post hoist to get this bad boy off the ground and up in the air. Luckily I live on a 2 1/2 acre property and have 2 6x4m sheds all with power.

Sound pretty much par for the course to me. Your a very lucky boy to have such a nice new toy.
I got mine today as well AXI 1698. First challenge is the brakes!

Found a couple of second hand cibie headlights, in the UK not cheap but should do the job nicely. Things are starting to come together at last. Next time I am home it will be door seal time, especially that pesky one near the torsion bar. I have noticed that either one or the other doors hit the T panel when fully up and no amount of adjustment of the panel seems to help. I am slowly coaxing the rear facia into shape and the sag is not as evident.

Found this running around the engine bay ? Took a picture next to a Penn for size comparison, it has a small rubber bung in the end.
Finally got the headlights and park lights sorted after spending hours chasing a bad connection to the parker circuit and only getting 2.5 volts to it.
Slowly its getting there and the more I do the more things I find missing or in need of some sort of repair.

It's a 'bung' that goes in the top adjuster hole of this: Goes where part number 25 would

? cant even see a 26, but I stand by what I wrote, goes in the hole where 25 was unless I'm wrong? Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

Hi David,
does this mean you are going down the standard USA rear light/ number plate surround route? ( like I did)
